Hi folks,
I used gam create datatransfer to transfer one user's drive to their successor, at their request. Most files transferred, but there were 23 stubborn files/folders. When I try to use transfer ownership to move them one at a time, the command doesn't transfer the file without saying why:

> gam user Miss...@cornell.edu transfer ownership 1mbO..94g Mr...@cornell.edu
User: Miss...@cornell.edu, Transfer Ownership 1 Drive Folder
User: Miss...@cornell.edu, Transfer Ownership Drive Folder: J...Entries (1mbO..94g)
User: Miss...@cornell.edu, Transfer Ownership 0 Drive Files/Folders to User: Mr...@cornell.edu

Does anyone have any insights on why these files don't move? When I verify their ownership with show fileinfo, they show as still owned by the original owner. I don't see anything that would complicate matters. The files are a mix of Google Docs, PDFs, and folders.
Thanks,
-Chuck

Chuck,

Get the current version which is 6.31.00
Do:
gam update project
gam oauth create
gam user chuck check serviceaccount

Then:
gam user Miss...@cornell.edu print filelist select 1mbO..94g fields id,name, mimetype, owners.emailaddress

What to you see about the files under that folder?

Ross

To summarize for anyone else who is interested.

When listing files, the default is to include trashed items, unless you exclude them with the option 'excludetrashed'.
The trash status is not displayed unless you include 'trashed' in your fields list.

When transferring ownership, the default is not to include trashed items, unless you explicitly request them with 'includetrashed'.
This applies to 'gam transfer owership' and 'gam transfer drive' and 'gam create datatransfer'.

The result is that if you do some ownership transfers and then check your results, it appears that you've left some behind. Adding 'excludetrashed' to the checking phase will suppress these.

Thanks to Ross for suggesting that this might be the difference.
-Chuck
