is there a way to do a complete takeout of a users account using GAM for the purpose of archiving a users data offline before the account is removed from the system?

Needing to extract a copy of a users account via GAM before the user is suspended and deleted.

There is no Takeout API. thus there's no way for GAM to do this.

The recommendation here is to use Archived User licenses so that you are keeping all your archive data in a single, searchable location and you don't need to play "find and restore games" with lawyers looking over your shoulder (been there, done that, won't do it again).

GAM can be used to select users from a bucket using the once-monthly export of the org's data, but it would be more efficient to do this on an individual basis if only a few are archived offline each month..
