Does anyone know a command to pull all target audiences and their memberships?

Dametrius,

How are target audiences and security groups related?

A security group is a Google Group used specifically for controlling access to organizational resources. A security group is created by updating a Google Group to a security group.
Target audiences are groups of people—such as departments or teams—that you can recommend for users to share their items with. They are created from the Directory section of the Admin Console.

They are both used for controlling access but a security group is for resources and settings configuration while a target audience grants access to a group for users to share items they own. I'm able to view the target audience permission in the ACLs for a file and it has the below format:

Dametrius,

Thank you. I don't see any Target Audiences API.

Target audience is also secretly a group (visible in groups enterprise audit log) or gam report groupsenterprise.

Not sure if there are any other visible changes in the audit logs or via reports api.

in my opinion, google has introduced too many types of groups too quickly and it's definitely causing some confusion because not all groups behave the same.

Thanks for sharing that Brian

How could one query for folders and content that is shared to a particular Target Audience ? (Domain currently doesn't use Shared Drives

Is this supported by GAMADV-XTD3 6.67.01 or higher?

Lucas,

Test: replace us...@domain.com with an actual user and gr...@domain.com with an actual security grpup (target audience).
gam redirect csv ./TargetAudienceGroups.csv user us...@domain.com print filelist fields id,name, mimetype, basicpermissions pm type group emailaddress gr...@domain.com em pmfilter oneitemperrow

Actually, audiences are also secret domains within Google Workspace. So the correct command in this case would be:

gam redirect csv ./TargetAudienceGroups.csv user us...@domain.com print filelist fields id,name, mimetype, basicpermissions pm type domain domain [audienceid].audience.googledomains.com em pmfilter oneitemperrow

You should replace [audienceid] with the ID of the target audience, which you can find in the Google Admin console https://admin.google.com/ac/list/targetaudience?hl=en
