Add Folder to Google Drive for all Users

Hi Ross/all,

This may be a simple request but haven't found anything yet that specifically matches the requirement.  We need to add a folder (called _MWP_Migration) to the root of the Google Drive for all users in a domain - any advice appreciated...

Forgot to add,

use noduplicate at the end of the command to prevent duplicate folders being created if one called that already exists. So  gam all users add drivefile drivefilename "_MWP_Migration" mimetype gfolder noduplicate

You can test this at a smaller scale by applying to a OU or a group rather than all users by replacing gam all users with gam ou "/Path/To/TestOU" or gam group <TestGroupEmail>

Create the folder

gam user shared_driv...@example.com create drivefile mimetype folder drivefilename "ALL_IN_DOMAIN" parentid "<shared drive ID>"

Add drivefile ACL, you will need the ID of the folder

gam user orga...@example.com add drivefileacl id:"<ID of folder>" domain example.com role writer

you can change the role to whatever you prefer.
