GAM Command line to assign ownership of all the files/folders and subfolders to a specific account

I have a Departmental Google Drive Account where all the file and subfolders are under a specific master folder.
Do you have a command that is capable to say, all the file and subfolders inside the FolderNumber1 have to be owned by AccaountA?

Dear Ross,

I'm not an expert of Google API, could you please just write a couple of example of the command that I have to run.


The usual gam is:

gam accountA tranfer ownership xxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxx accountB


Could you please type the command that will assign ownership of a specific folders with all his subfolders/files to a specific accountA 


Where I can find the binary to be downloaded?


Like the takeownership microsoft command.

The simple case is: gam user accountA claim ownership xxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxx preview
All of the files and folders under xxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxx will have their ownership transferred to accountA

Ok seams that the capability is there, but is possible to perform the preview only on the file into that specific folder? Even if I would like to claim ownership on a folder where there are 3 folders and 100 files the tool would like to enumerate all

I am running the same command..
for example--gam user accountA claim ownership xxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxx preview and I am getting Claim Ownership Failed: Not Found...I am running GAMADV-X version 4.48.13...any ideas..thanks.

Good afternoon, 

I also am attempting to change ownership from ownerName to accountA (this is the account taking ownership of the folder and all sub files/folders), and am having some difficulties with error messages. 

I have been working with this command:      gam user accountA claim ownership xxxxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxx preview and am getting this error message: 
User: accountA, Claim Ownership 1 Drive File/Folder
  User: accountA, Drive File/Folder: xxxxxxxxxfolderIDxxxxxxxx, Claim Ownership Failed: Not Found
NewOwner,OldOwner,type,id,title


Previously you suggested trying to run the show fileinfo command. At first I received an error message when trying this: 
C:\GAMADV-X>gam user accountA show fileinfo xxxxxxfileIDxxxxxxx
User: accountA, Show 1 Drive File/Folder
  User: accountA, Drive File/Folder ID: xxxxxfileIDxxxxx, Show Failed: Does not exist


However, when I change the user to the actual owner in the show fileinfo, I get all of the folder and file information. 
That looks like this:   gam user ownerName show fileinfo xxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxxxx
The results were an impressive listing. 

I am using version GAMADV-X 4.83.01.  I appreciate any support.

accountA can't claim a file it can't see; when you did: gam user ownerName show fileinfo xxxxxxxfolderidxxxxxxxx
what rights (probably none) does accountA have to the file?
In that case you have to have ownerName transfer ownership to accountA.
