Updating birthday for users

Hi guys 

Any ideas how I can update the users birthday in GAM?

GOogle has changed something this morning and now all my users are under 18 and their youtube channels hidden.

Hi Jimmy,

This is not actually controlled by users' birthdays, there is an admin console setting for this. This support page provides more information; basically, go to Account settings > Age-based access settings, select the appropriate OU or group to adjust the age for, then For Choose an appropriate age label, choose the appropriate option "Some or all users are under 18 years of age" or "All users are 18 or older".

In our high schools, kids turn 18 over their time in 11th or 12th grade.  I would like to move them out of the age restricted OU into a "All users are 18" OU.  Here's what I have in place, and just wanted to figure out if there was a way to do it.

SIS syncs to AD: DOB-->employeeNumber (MMDDYYYY)

GCDS syncs DOB to Google to Custom Schema: DOB (MMDDYYYY)

What I'm trying to do is either set a new Custom Schema variable to "over18" if I can query DOB and see that the person is 18 or older as of each day via GAM and I can use GCDS to move them based on that variable.

or do a Powershell script in AD that does the same date evaluation, and sets a new attribute to over18 and then I sync them to a new OU 

Or another cleaner way, just looking for some advice.

First off, using MMDDYYYY makes it hard because a student born on Jan 1 2015 (01012015) has a larger number than a student born on Dec 31 2006 (12312006). I'd recommend using YYYYMMDD so you can actually do greater than / less than comparisons that make sense to compare the dates.

If you did YYYYMMDD you could handle the moves with GAM alone but then that will likely conflict with your GCDS, probably best to store the date in AD and then have a daily powershell script that loops through all users and if their YYYYMMDD is less than the calculated YYYYMMDD for today minus 18 years than mark them as over18=true (again, probably another custom AD attribute).
