Adding Contacts to Company Directory

to GAM for Google Workspace

I need to upload a csv file of contacts to the company directory. I have found ways to add those contacts to users and OU's, but that's not quite what I need.

How can I place contacts in the directory?

To be more specific, they're external contacts. I need to add a list of external contacts to the company directory.
