Set posting permission

Is there a way with the API to change this setting "set posting permission" to allow? We have the default of the group set to moderate messages for all users. When I then add an owner or manager their posting permission is set to "Moderated" by default. I would like to set these users to Allow Posting via GAM.

Adam,
The Directory API doesn't support setting this level of detail for a member; thus Gam can't do it.
