Hi all, I am looking to update the Asset ID field of 180 chromebooks in my organization. I have created a csv with two columns:Screen Shot 2022-08-11 at 8.03.12 AM.png
and I am running the following GAM command:

gam csv devices.csv gam update cros query:id:~~Serialnumber~~ assetid ~AssetID

Why am I getting a kickback that says "no such user or named directory: AssetID"? And where should the csv itself be stored? Do I need to include the file location in the command?

Thanks.

Thanks Ross, that helps. I am now seeing "No such file or directory "devices.csv"." How should I format the location in the command, and should it be local on my computer or in my Drive?

It should be in the direct you're running gam from or give a full path the file.

I must be doing something wrong, because I have the file in the directory I'm running GAM from and I'm still getting the same error. When I write it as the full path I get the same kind of error

Jacob,

Be in the directory of interest:
Windows: dir
Mac/Linux: ls -l

Is devices.csv there?

It is, but now every time I run the command I am met with a list of scopes, and before I can press 'C' to continue to authorization (something I've already done), the space fills in with a % and it brings me back to a blank command line. Did my command go through? When I check the device in GAC the Asset ID field is still blank.

Thank you for all of your help.
