Invalid Input with custom schemas

to GAM for Google Workspace
Does anyone have any idea why this command would prompt Update Failed: Invalid Input.   It seems to be just with the deactivation date field.
Here is the command with the error and the fields i'm trying to update.

gam csv 'D:\gamwork\Staffupload_2026 V2.csv' gam update user "~Email" SISUserData.Exit_Info ~Exit_Info SISUserData.Deactivation_Date ~Deactivation_Date EmployeeID ~TeacherNumber organization title ~Title

Turn on debugging to get a clue.

Date field is incorrect

should be

That did it.    I would have to format the date field to display that way.      If I change the custom field from date to just text then the original date format would work fine since its just copying text essentially correct?
