Can you search for orphaned team drives?

Looking over the GAM commands for Team Drive I notice that it only searches for them by user. What if the Team Drive has been orphaned because everyone has removed themselves from the Drive? How can I search for Team Drives that  have no users so I can find the ID and delete them?

Regards
Stephen

Stephen,

You can't explicitly delete a Team Drive that contains content even if you're the last user.
But what does Google do when the user count goes to zero? Toss all of the content?
Time to ask Google.

Nothing.
Team Drives don't disappear, ever, unless they are manually deleted by a member with Full Access.

Kim,

testuser makes a Team Drive named Test
testuser puts one file in Team Drive Test
testuser deletes herself as the organizer, now there are no users associated with Team Drive Test
where is Team Drive Test and its file and how can anyone access it?

Admins can always see all Team Drives from the admin console. I believe it was mentioned that at some point the API will allow super admins to list all team drives (even ones they don't have rights to) also.

This is the main reason why you don't want to enable students to create TDs. :-/

Jay,

Where in the Admin Console can the super admin see the Team Drives?

Found the other good filter.

So, the filter/attribute we're waiting for now would be "TDs with only one member". :-)
Most likely TDs that the owner has forgotten about and don't actually use.

Found this, and wondered if anything had developed to deal with it?

I'm disturbed to see that the shared drive interface in the admin panel has not improved much. If I don't have the drive id, then there's not a reliable way to recover a shared drive that has, for example, been abandoned by a former employee.

What do you mean by no "reliable way"?
Current feature is very reliable, and always works.

It's just tedious.

Fair enough - poor choice of words. Tedious... if not painful. :)
