Guardian Invitations and status of "expired" invitations?

If I look in my Google Classroom - I see a whole  bunch of parents that are marked as "(invited)" next to their name.

When I run the following GAM, I only get 7 students returned:

gam print guardians invitations todrive tdtitle "Guardian List" states pending showstudentemails 

I know there are much more than 7 as I can see them in the Classrooms.  The ones that I see are recent.  I see (from Google) that a parent has 120 days to accept an invitation.

Is there a way to locate expired invitations?  And does it matter? If I try to invite a guardian that has an expired invitation at that same email address, will it throw an error?

Would rather not experiment with our real parent body and I can't figure out a way to create an expired invitation to use for testing.

Ultimately, what I want to do is use a GSheet to sync guardian information but I am not clear on how guardians who have accepted or guardians who have pending or expired invitations are handled.
