Nope, not at the moment I'm not.

I have a group of students that are using a Google Classroom to "chat". The classroom was created by a former teacher. GAM currently shows the owner as "unknown user" and when I try to add a teacher I get:

Add Failed: Not allowed:

When I try to change the owner I get:

The operation on this course cannot be completed. The course owner's account is not active. Please restore the account of the owner and try the operation again.

I am currently stumped and looking for suggestions before I just delete the course.

You may be stuck; Google made a change that let's you delete such a course but it appears that you cann't modify it.

One solution may be to add that class link as a blocked URL for your students in GAFE.

Actually with Ross's assistance I copied all of the students to a new course named the same and then archived the original class. Added a teacher to the new course and awaiting feedback on whether the students notice and if she can observe the behavior. We shall see.
