Over time our OU structure has become a mess. I'm in the process of restructuring our OU setup. I would like to be able to take all of the settings from one OU and apply them to another OU that is not a sub OU. Does anyone know if this is possible with GAM or maybe another solution? Thanks.

I've got a bit of cleanup to do as well, so I'm hoping someone will have some great advice on this topic.

afaik, there are very few settings you can set on OUs via API?

Did anything ever get figured out regarding this? I was searching before posting a new question and this sounds like what I'm also trying to do.

I called google support and their response was that it's not possible through the admin console, but is possible using the admin sdk and "Listing API's" to download the settings. At least getting a record of all the current settings downloaded would be a first step. Figuring how to get them back in might be a separate process to work out.

That's definitely not accurate. The Admin SDK provides functionality like managing users and pulling a lists of users, devices, groups, aliases, etc. However there are no APIs that allow export of service settings like Gmail, Drive and Calendar.

Ugh. Thanks for clarifying. I looked through the link they sent and it was all about user level settings like filters, labels, etc.

Our Cisco vendor has a basic config they roll out on all our school's switches, routers, etc. Then tweak the details per location.
I wish there was a similar way to copy/paste/compare G Suite configs.

btw, I love gam and really appreciate all the work you've put into it.
