I am looking to see if there is a way to recursively remove “Limited access” permissions from files and folders. We are moving away from AODocs to Google Shared Drives. The move itself is easy, but every file and folder currently has “Limited access” applied to it.

Our current process is to manually select all folders and files and remove the limited access permissions while going through the entire folder structure manually.

Also, if I can remove all users who have access to the file as well, that would be great!

I am creating the backup copies of these AoDocs folders to Shared Drive with the following command: Gam User "Users Drive" copy Drivefile "Folder ID in Users Drive" teamdriveparentid "Shared Drive ID" recursive depth -1 mergewithparent no

The problem is they want to keep the share links intact. With the move the links stay the same but with the Copy it has new share links.

Thanks,

Hi Bruce,

Can you contact my work email? I am currently in the exact same predicament and also utilise aodocs. AODocs has been absolute hell to work with and I think it'll be good if we could discuss.

I havent found a single other organisation that uses AODocs. My email is james.a...@syd.catholic.edu.au
