gam command to set calendar time zone setting

gam user <Email> show calsettings

Will show the setting but is there a command to set the calendar time zone ?

Unfortunately not. The Calendar API allows you to read these settings but not modify them.

Loving my Beam soundbar btw :-)

That's modifying the calendar timezone. The question was about the user settings.

Yes, if you have a zillion secondary calendars you'll have to do the command for each one, but don't you wind up where you want to be?

That still won't change the timezone of the user. Not clear which one Dan meant.

GAM can modify calendar settings with:

gam calendar <email> modify timezone <tz>

I've not tested this but I am seeing some suggestions that changing the user's primary calendar will also change the user timezone. I'd suggest doing some testing.

$ gam user testsimple modify calendar primary timezone America/New_York

User: tests...@rdschool.org, Modify 1 Calendar

  User: tests...@rdschool.org, Calendar: tests...@rdschool.org, Modified


$ gam user testsimple show calsettings

User: tests...@rdschool.org, Calendar Settings:

...

  timezone: America/New_York


$ gam user testsimple modify calendar primary timezone America/Los_Angeles

User: tests...@rdschool.org, Modify 1 Calendar

  User: tests...@rdschool.org, Calendar: tests...@rdschool.org, Modified


$ gam user testsimple show calsettings

User: tests...@rdschool.org, Calendar Settings:

  autoAddHangouts: false

My intention was to change the user's time zone. I will do some testing however.
