ERROR: 409: Requested entity already exists - 409

Hi,

I typed in this GAM command 

gam csv createclassroomAC.csv gam create course alias "˜alias" name "˜coursename" teacher "~teacher" status PROVISIONED

It gave me the error --> ERROR: 409: Requested entity already exists - 409

Can someone help me find out what is the issue here?

Hello again, I realized the first time I ran the command for a teacher. The course was created with a course name ˜coursename instead of taking the course name from the CSV file. Is there something wrong with the command I'm using? 

gam csv createclassroomRF.csv gam create course alias "˜alias" name "˜coursename" teacher "~teacher"

The content of the CSV is as follows:

alias,coursename,teacher

RF_HS1A,General Biology,x...@ics.edu.sg

I am guessing that's the reason I am getting the requested entity already exists error.

You forgot to add the tilde for the fields alias and coursename. So the first course has been created with the alias of "alias" and name of "coursename" then as it processes the next line from the CSV it reports back that the alias and name are already taken which is correct.

thank you. I realized I have to press enter after the tilde on Mac before it actually becomes a tilde sign, otherwise, it will treat it as a text.
