Hi everyone,

I’m trying to sync a group from AD to Google, and GADS keeps complaining about an excluded resource or address collision. I have confirmed the address is not excluded and I can’t find any objects in the admin console that match the email address. There is no user, group, alias, or contact that matches the address. Is there any way to use GAM to search and figure out what and where this address is being used so I can delete it?

Thanks in advance!

One thing I did discover was some files shared to that same address by a user, and Google treated it like an outside the organization email address.  Not sure its relevant, but can't think of what else is causing this.

try creating the address as a user with GAM. If that fails let us know the error message. If it works, delete the user and then see if GCDS works at that point.

My educated guess is that there's a visitor account for the address which is causing whatever API GCDS is calling to create the group to fail.

Thanks Jay!  I went ahead and removed the sharing permissions to that address, used GAM to create the account (which worked), deleted it, and VOILA, GCDS was able to create the group.  Thanks for the tip!
