oauth creation broken?

I am reviving a GAMADV-XTD3 installation I have not used in 6 months. It gave me some weird errors (has been working fine for years) and the domain has migrated, so I assumed bad caches and/or stale config. Blew away everything (.gam/*, bin/gamadv-xtd/*, everything) and started a new shell.

I tried (re)installing and cleaning out several times, but I keep getting stuck on the oauth creation step (gam oauth create) --> it provides a list of scopes, I select all and continue, provide email address and paste the URL. URL in a browser (no_browser = true) leads to error page:

Bad Request

Error 400

(which I think is not the error page the installer is predicting; it is an error before processing rather than an error for the callback URL on 127.0.01 not connecting).

I tried pasting the error URL anyway, but the installer does not like it and keeps asking the same question. Note: the error URL is longer than the URL the installer produced itself; it should be a lot shorter. It also has no & or mention of the word 'scope'.

Is this a known problem, possibly related to the installer issues from yesterday or am I running into the next issue? (or doing something stupid, but I really have been very careful in following the exact steps two or three times)

There have been some changes to how OAuth works from Google in the past several months. Are you running the most-current version of GAM/Gam Advanced?

De-select some of the unused options when you do gam oauth create. Your URL is too long.

Deselecting a few did  the trick. @Ross: knowing this, it might be a solution to test for a max length and break up the authorisation process in two or more steps.

Hi Ross,

I'm also having this issue,  what is the individual select, deselect process for certain scopes?

can I list all the ones I want  in a list i.e. 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7......  or must I select them indivdually.

I have updated from 6.24 to 6.55.08 GAMADV-XTD on windows 10 with Chrome browser v111.0.5563.147. 

I also see Access blocked: authorisation error - some requested scopes were invalid

My error on the cam version i tshould be 6.52 although I have now tried v6.53.02 and still have the issue

s - Select all scopes

u - Unselect all scopes

number - toggle selection of a specific scope
