I'm trying to find out when the last email was sent or received for groups without having to access each group and look at the conversations.  The example I found is
gam groups <group name> print messages query "in:inbox" limit 1

I get an error that says <<limit 1>> is an invalid argument.  I can run it without that and it works but if there are a bunch of messages and a bunch of members, it's going to give me a huge response and take a really long time.

I'm really new to using this so don't know what arguments are valid or not.

Thanks for any help.

Carol,

Replace limit 1 to max_to_print 1 to avoid the error.
However, this command will show you the last email received by each member of the group from anyone, not just messages sent to the group.

Change the query to "list:gr...@domain.com" (use actual group email address) to show the most recent email to th group.

That worked.  Thanks.

Actually, I just ran it on another group (that had more than 1 message) and it gave me all of them.  Here’s the command I used

And a slight variation on the request - is there a way to run a query on all the groups in our domain and have it make me a nice spreadsheet showing the group name and the last message sent or received by the group?  We’re doing some cleanup of the groups in the domain and that would be helpful all in one place.
