Hi Friends,

I'm seeking help replacing the GUI command "transfer ownership".
With this command, I just give the source ID (terminated user account) and destination ID (temporary account for data transfer). This moves all the data under the destination ID's personal drive with the source ID folder. Then, I manually moved this folder to a shared drive called "Backup for terminated users". I do this one by one for each user, which is tedious.

Is there a better way to do this through scripting or a command line?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Sidh

GAM can do this for you.  Use the following command format.
gam create datatransfer <userEmail> gdrive <targetEmail> privacy_level shared,private

Thank you, Kevin.

I'll try that then.

Also, can we directly transfer this data to a shared drive instead of using that middle account as a temporary data placeholder?

I did not receive any error, but nothing happened after completion.

It should have provided you with a datatransfer ID.  You can check the status by using the following command:
gam print datatransfers status inProgress
gam info datatransfer <id>

Hello guys, I want to know, has the author successfully transferred the drive ownership?

I have the exact issue with her/him, that I want to transfer the MyDrive of an account into a Shared Drive.
