can GAM delete emails from a mailbox ?

I am running 3.75

I tested what API's are enabled:

I checked my current project and i have GAM 3.75 and these are enabled

 The APIs are enabled

Admin SDK, Apps Activity API, Google Calendar API, Google Classroom API,
Google Drive API, Gmail API, Groups Settings API, Enterprise License Manager API,
Google+ API, Contacts API have been enabled.

Would i need a new project to fix these errors ? As the emails i am testing are not getting deleted. Thanks for any help.

You need to include the keyword doit otherwise, it just reports the information, and does not actually delete any email messages.

python ./gam.py user angelo....@uconn.edu delete messages query rfc822msgid:BN3PR05MB24179A5112...@BN3PR05MB2417.namprd05.prod.outlook.com maxtodelete 1 doit
