Hey folks,

I got this request from a user and it's unprecedented. Also can't find much stuff online!
He wants a list of all email address that sent emails in the last 6 monhts to a specific group.

I'm thinking about approaching it this like:
1. Getting a list of all conversations from a group with values like subject, sender, date, etc
2. Filter only the conversations newer than 6 months
3. Remove duplicated senders and extract the final list

No idea where to start though. Is there a GAM command that can achieve bullet n1?

Thanks!

Juarez;

I do not see anything in the GAPI available to GAM that provides data about group conversations, so I'm afraid you're out of luck.

There is not an API to read the messages in a Group’s archive (google has an “import to group archive” api, but no “read Group archive” api), so GAM can’t help in that way.

Another couple of ideas for ways to accomplish this:

IF the users that are sending to the group are all within your domain, you could (I think) look in the email audit logs for outgoing messages addressed to the group’s address.

If someone has kept a copy of messages sent to that group in their email, they could use a filter to put them all under a specific label, then you could potentially list all of the messages under that label using GAM and process it from there….

Cheers,

Ian
