Updating Chrome Devices by Serial Number

Good afternoon all,

Is it at all possible to update Chrome Devices (in this case ChromeBooks) using the Serial Number versus the Device ID? I have a list of Serials needing updating and it would be easier to do it this way. 

Alternatively, if anyone has a way to export the device ID from the Chrome Admin console that would also work.

Try:

gam update cros query:id:NNNN user jsm...@acme.org

Where NNNN is the serial number. This will do a search for the serial and then update returned devices.
