Hello all,

apologies in advance for asking such a silly question, but it's driving me nuts. I downloaded the most recent version of GAM and created the client_secrets.json using the Wiki and the new Google Cloud Console. Every time I try to run gam info domain it is giving me the following msg:

-----------------------------------

WARNING: Please configure OAuth 2.0

To make GAM run you will need to populate the client_secrets.json file

found at:

-----------------------------------

I have tried on a Mac with python source and on a Windows 7 box using the 64 bit version of the exe. I have enabled all necessary API's for the project, downloaded the Oauth 2.0 client ID json file, copied and renamed it to client_secrets.json it to the gam working folder. Launched gam selected API  scopes and then receive the msg. If I run gam oauth revoke, I receive the msg that nothing is authorised.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Grant

Hi

I am also experiencing this problem. I have gone through and done everything several times, reread etc etc.

Clearly it is there, to confirm, if I do cat <the path displayed in the message> it shows the JSON contents.

Thanks

I am also having this same issue, has anyone found any workaround for this issue?  I was trying to test the new version of GAM but this is blocking me from doing that.

My original issue was solved, I had saved my file as client_secret.json, forgot the s at the end of secrets.

Yes I finally figured out what had happened. For some silly reason I had enabled the web app instead of native app for the API project. Thankfully Xmas is coming and I can try to stop making such silly mistakes.

Hi all, I've following the steps from http://code.google.com/p/google-apps-manager/wiki/CreatingClientSecretsFile and rename the filename as client_secret.json (without "s" after secret), but i still got "WARNING: Please configure OAuth 2.0" error.

How to solve this?
Thank you.

Problem solved. On GAM 3.0, the filename should rename with "s" after secret, that is client_secrets.json.

Hello Andy,

I have the same problem. I have created the client_secrets.json alright but I  still have the same error:

WARNING: Please configure OAuth 2.0

To make GAM run you will need to populate the client_secrets.json file
found at:

   C:\gam

with information from the APIs Console <https://cloud.google.com/console>.

for instructions.

I tried to verify content of client_secrets.json from  https://code.google.com/p/google-apps-manager/wiki/CreatingClientSecretsFile but the page says project has been moved. Please, what is the content of client_secrets.json file?

Thank You
