GAM7 - unable to get it to work

Hello, I am hoping some one can help me fix my GAM so I can use it again. To provide a little background. I install the classic gam and then upgraded to gam7. Ever since then, GAM has not worked for me. I have tried several steps to fix it but it still doesn't work for me. I tried removing it from my mac but I am not familiar how to do that entirely. Still kind of a newbie when it comes to macs. 

When I tried to check delegates with this cmd: gam user <user_email_address> show delegates it states Gmail api service/app not enabled. 

Any help would be appreciated

Did you do:

gam oauth create

gam user us...@yurdomain.com update serviceaccount

I tried this command: gam user <user_email_address> show delegates 

the output:  states Gmail api service/app not enabled

I checked gam version: 

 ~ % gam version

Hello, I am having a similar issue to this. Almost exactly. Can you help provide any guidance on how this was resolved?

- Background: I had an old version of gam (6.58) which I tried to update. I now have Version 7.29.04. I am using my same old GCP Project which already has the Gmail API and Domain Wide Delegation. However, when I try to run gam user <user_email_address> show delegates it states Gmail api service/app not enabled.

I've already removed my old gam install so can't really revert. If you have any guidance I would appreciate it!

You should have done these steps after installing 7.29.04, please verify.
