Setting Send As (Custom From) - Name Required?

Is it possible to run https://github.com/jay0lee/GAM/wiki/ExamplesEmailSettings#setting-send-as-custom-from without specifying the <name>? When using the HTML page, this field is auto populated.

This is the HTML form that I am referring to. The Name field is auto-populated initially.

Currently did with graphical interface only by loging into calendar

I am not sure what the syntax would look like. Wouldn't default be interpreted as the name?
