Hi all, I am trying to upload a local file for the first time to a drive account and am receiving this error. The command I am using is as follows:
"gam user XXXX add drivefile localfile XXXX"

This is the command the site says to use. I have successfully created a file in the user's drive using command: "gam user XXXX add drivefile drivefilename XXXX".

I am stuck. Please help. =+)

Bryan,

How big is your file and what type of data is in it: text, binary?

If you make an empty file named debug.gam in the same directory as gam.exe/gam.py, you'll get some debugging output. Repeat the "gam user XXXX add drivefile local file XXXX" command.

Capture the output and send everything starting at the line that begins:

send: u'POST /upload/drive/v2/files?fields=id&alt=json&prettyPrint=true&uploadType=resumable HTTP/1.1\r\n

Hi Ross,

Thanks for the quick response. I had been trying to upload a the "text.txt" file which contained no data. I added a single word to the text file, and now it uploads successfully. Apparently the program does not like uploading empty files. =+) Thanks again and have a great day!
