Hello all -

I am getting an error 500 (Server Error) after I run this part of the tutorial on https://github.com/jay0lee/GAM/wiki

gam info user

You'll be asked to specify which "scopes" you'd like the OAuth token to support. For now, select the last option to continue, all scopes will be selected. Next GAM will open up a web page in order for you to grant access to retrieve data and make changes to your Google Apps account. Make sure you are logged in to a Google Apps Administrator account before granting access. Once you've granted access, switch back to the command prompt window, GAM should already be working to display information about your user account.

Congrats, you're up and running with GAM.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Try running:

gam oauth info

what admin user shows? I suspect you authorized with your @gmail.com account instead of your Google Apps admin. You can run:

gam oauth revoke

and then:

gam info user

again to get another try, make sure you have the admin user selected before authorizing.

I ran into that error as well (on the browser, after clicking 'allow access to <list of services>).

I think what fixed it was disabling the Classroom API scope (step 7. iii. On this page: https://github.com/jay0lee/GAM/wiki/CreatingClientSecretsFile)

Just type the number and hit enter to toggle the selection and unselect.

I just ran in to the same thing but in my case it authorized once I removed the cloudprint option when authorizing the api scopes.  Wondering if there is something going on with Cloud Print at Google that would cause this, but we don't use it right now anyway.

Because of a Google limitation, you can't specify all of the scopes or you get the 500 error; pick an API you don't use and unselect it; Site Verification API is a good choice.
