Calendar Transfer Ownership

to GAM for Google Workspace
Needing some guidance if its best to just print a user's calendar events , then use GAM to create the events to a user's calendar? Or best approach...
I ask because apparently if a calendar exceeds 1.0MB Google states calendar transfers won't work...(I Swear this behavior wasn't a thing a year ago) but seems weird. So Google provides guidance of manually exporting calendars , to then use a github repo to "split" the calendar ICS files so they don't exceed 1MB per ics file.
Any thoughts?
