realized i wasnt using GAMADV & upgraded, finally able to pull more reporting on teamdrive as far as existance, but details such as file count seem to require adding an ID onto the ACL's manually. "gam user oc...@blob.corp print filelist select teamdrive DriveName fields id,name, modifiedtime"  The API documentation seems to indicate the 'UseDomainAdminAccess'  attrib exposes that, but may not be included into GAMADv. is that something that there is need for help to work on?  or is it in development?

Phil,

As fas as I understand it, admins can see all Shared Drives and their top level ACLs. If you want to see files or lower-level ACLS you have to be an organizer/fileorganizer of the drive.
Point me to the API documenation you're referring to.

Hrm, upon rereading, your correct;  this specifies ACL management : https://developers.google.com/drive/api/v3/manage-shareddrives#manage_shared_drives_for_domain_administrators

Summar: not everything is exposed, but 'update permissions' seems to be.
From the current GAM-ADV documentation, it didnt appear that it takes advantage of that feature at the moment.

I think i extrapolated some of teh listing of file/content details assuming :
I.e. if update permissions is there, i should be able to add a service or user to all shares & then run a 'get file count' type query.

I think Ross added Domain Admin access for https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-XTD3/wiki/Shared-Drives with  adminaccess

Philip/Brian,

A domain adminstrator can access Shared Drives as either a user or domain admin.
When acting as a user, she can see Shared Drives of which she is a member and all of the files/ACLS contained therein.
When acting as a domain admin, she can see all Shared Drives and the top level ACLs; that's it.

Thanks all. I had something come up, and someone mechanical turked a bunch of my 'issues'. I'll review what y'all referenced, and get back to you.
