View Last Email Activity Date of All Groups

What is the easiest way to identify all inactive groups in an org by the date an email was last received, e.g. within the last 30 days?

As of right now the only way I have found to do this is by manually for each group email address using the ‘Email Log Search’ in the Admin Console. 

Is there an easy to do this with GAM?

Someone recommended this tool from GAT Labs, but it’s $12,000.

Is this something we would need to use Python to solve?
