delete organization?

I've run into an issue where a subset of users were updated with GAM and information was populated into organization.0 without a "customType" declared for the organization.  When a google cloud directory sync ran, it populated user info into organization.1 with a type of "work".  can i delete the organization.0 or change the type of org.0 to "work"?  Any help would be appreciated!
