Removing Terminated Employees from all calendar meetings

I am running GAMADV-XTD3 6.04.22

When an employee terminates, I have scripts that transfer their calendar to their manager. 

However, the employee is still showing up as an invitee in various calendar events. 

Is there a way to remove that employee from all calendar events that he is a member of going forward?

Circling back on this, in case anyone has ideas or recommendations. 

Backstory: we suspend the user's Okta account but leave the Gmail account active so that the manager can access email and calendar events for about two months. But we want to remove the user from any calendar events starting with the termination date.
