I need to deal with an interesting situation and GAm seems like the best way to go about it.
but need clarifications

long story short, there is a company that has another (separate) comany domain under their own google workspace account. So one workspace account two separate companies.

I need to migrate out the company #2 and do it with out data loss.

there is a user assigned as Domain admin to manage uses. but not a workspace admin.

any suggestions and how screwed am I ?

thank you

Splitting a domain in two is an extraordinarily (excessively) difficult task in Workspace—Google has chosen to make it far harder than it should be.

It’s not just about creating new accounts and copying files, email messages, and calendar entries over, it’s also about recreating permissions, dealing with stuff in non-core apps like Photos and YouTube that don’t have administrative controls or APIs, and so on. It’s hard.

I’d strongly suggest finding an official Google Partner that has extensive experience with doing this to get their help. See

Just my 2 cents, of course!
