Hi Guys,

I'm using GAM in cloudshell for a while now on my Chromebook and am very happy how this works.
Recently GAM is crashing cloudshell, when I execute GAM command directly eg.: gam domain info
When I execute gam from a script, everything works just fine.

Hoping that someone experience this same issue and could explain what causes it.
Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,
Erwin Pieters

Define "crash". What error do you see or what occurs? Are you running the latest 4.40 release? (if not, upgrade).

Hi Jay Lee,

Apologies, couldn't expect you had a crystal ball :-)
To make it complete:

When I execute a gam command it takes a few seconds and the shell just closes.
From the moment I execute a GAM command, var/log/messages shows:

I'm running on 4.40, since every time I add a new client, I back-up the files: client_secrets.json, oauth2service.json and oauth2.txt
Then I rerun the installer to add the new client.
Did this for 20+ times now, since we have quite some clients, maybe that's related to this issue?

If there is there another log file I can get helpful info from, please let me know.

It has never happened to me and I use cloud shell all the time.

I think we need to see the command you're trying to run.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for your reply!
Any GAM command will end my cloud-shell connection.
If I place the command inside a batch file it executes as it should.

It's something in my cloud-shell, because i've tried cloud-shell on a different account and there is no such issue.
I've created a backup of my files, remove the home dir and reset the VM, everything is working again now.

Kind regards,
Erwin Pieters
