Commands for Google Sites?

Hi Jay,

I just discovered your tool, Google Apps Manager, through a posting in
the Google Apps Help Forums.

Does GAM support commands on the Google Sites service within Google
Apps?
In particular, I'd like to automate (by writing scripts) the following
actions:
- create a site, with a particular URL & name
- create pages within the site, with particular titles & type of
content (i.e. "File Manager", or "Web page", or "Announcements", etc.
- set style settings for a site (i.e. the background colour, site
title color, etc.)

Any or all of this functionality would be awesome!
If it's not available today, do you know if Google's APIs allow for
these kind of actions? Would it be possible to extend GAM to work with
Google Sites (within a Google Apps account).

Hi Andrew,

I'm glad you are finding GAM useful. GAM uses Google's Provisioning
and Email Settings APIs:

http://code.google.com/apis/apps/email_settings/developers_guide_protocol.html

unfortunately, Google has not released an API that allows interaction
with Sites thus there's no way for GAM to work with Sites.

I know I'm replying to an old post, but I figured I'd send the response to it now since the situation seems to have changed. I know that Google now has the Google Sites API, and I was wondering if/when implementing Sites management might be your radar.

New Sites has no API as of yet so there's no way for GAM to do anything with them :-/
