You need to allowlist the GAM client_id so users in your domain can authorize it:


grab the value for "client_id" from the client_secrets.json file in your GAM folder. It'll look similar but not identical to:


then in the admin console you can add that client_id as trusted.

Trying to get GAM up and running and having issues.

Installing on a Linux box (no browser support).

Install script runs fine, I get to the "Select the authorized scopes by entering a number." page and go with the defaults.

- I key in my Google Workspace admin email address.
- I copy/paste the link to a fresh browser window.
- I choose the correct account from the Sign in with Google page.
- I am presented with "GAM wants to access your Google Account" page.
- I click the "Allow" button.

Seeing "Authorization Error" Error 400: invalid_request Account restricted.

The account that I'm using is a Super Admin account in our Google Workspace.
