Classroom API

Trying to use the classroom API for the first time and I am getting the below message. I did run gam oauth create and verified the classroom api's were selected. I also went into the admin console > Apps > Google Classroom > and the check mark for api is on. Not sure what else I should check or try.

ERROR: Google Classroom API has not been used in project 339438000158 before or it is disabled. Enable it by visiting https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/classroom.googleapis.com/overview?project=339438000158 then retry. If you enabled this API recently, wait a few minutes for the action to propagate to our systems and retry.

ERROR: Reauthentication is needed, please run
