I upgraded my DEV machine from Ubuntu 22.04 to Ubuntu 24.04.  I switched to an SSD smaller than my original boot drive, so I actually did a fresh install of 24.04, and copied over what files/folders from my old user folder that would fit.  A lot of things got left behind, including GAM-XTD V6.

After reading GAM7 uses same settings I copied over my .gam folder, GAM working folder, and bin.

I edited or added the suggested alias, path and exports.

"gam version" works

But "gam info domain" gets:

ERROR: API access Denied

Its been a while since I last used GAM.  Another admin also using GAM on the same domain - still has "GAMADV-XTD3 6.64.14" running fine.  At least his "gam info domain" returns lots of info.  So I assume the server is still setup correctly for both of us.

My question is:  "What command(s) do I need to run to fix this?"

Thanks in Advance,
Richard

Thanks Ross!  For anybody else with this issue, these are the commands that fixed it:

This to verify I did install GAM7:
gam version

This command gets the error:
gam info domain

This command fixed it:
gam oauth create

Verify it is fixed:
gam info domain

Update and test some other things:
gam user rcooke update serviceaccount
gam user rcooke check serviceaccount

This command fails, but GAM commands are working so "we" suspect some Google permissions have changed since I first set this up.  I'll have to go digging in Google to figure out what changed and fix it.  someday...
gam update project

My gam version output after runing:

bash <(curl -s -S -L https://git.io/gam-install) -l -d .gam

 is:

GAMADV-XTD3 6.67.30 - https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-XTD3 - pyinstaller

MacOS  15.2 arm64

What am I doing wrong?

Drop the -d .gam. You're installing GAM within the configuration folder.

Send me a Meet/Zoom invitation and we'll clean things up.

Hmm, yeah, that was dumb. Now let me get to the real question as I fire up GAM after a long period without needing it. I bet this happens a lot.

I will post a new thread. I sent meeting invite. Just let me know when works for you.
