Thanks for sharing your concern. Unfortunately, I don't have an
official answer for you right now. The thing about lab was always that
it comes with no warranties about lifetime. That being said, the blog
post also mentions that "in others we’ll incorporate Labs products and
technologies into different product areas." In other words, not
everything in labs will cease to exist.
I do not think that Short Links is in any immediate danger of going
away, although it might mean that the set of features will stay
relatively static for a while. If my assumption is wrong, I'll do my
best to post to this forum as early as possible to give everyone
enough time to export their links.
