I get this;
What do I put where the blank is?

Changing CNAME record

To use the custom URL widgets.com, you must change the CNAME record
with your domain host.

1.

Sign in to godaddy.
2.

Navigate to your DNS Management page. The location and name of
this page will vary by host, but can generally be found in Domain
Management or Advanced Settings.
3.

Find the CNAME settings and enter the following as the CNAME
value or alias:

4.

Set the CNAME destination to the following address:

ghs.google.com
5.

Save changes with your domain host and click "I've completed
these steps" below.

When finished, click on "I've completed these steps" to have Google
check your CNAME record.

If you're trying to set the root of your domain, you have to add A
records with the IPs listed on this page

Do you mean ghs.google.com?

You can follow this document to use your own domain: http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/domain.html

To add A record in godaddy, IP is needed. ghs.google.com can't be used as input to "Points to". ghs.google.com can only be used when adding CNAME record. But godaddy doesn't permit wildcard in CNAME entry.

Hence, the option I have are adding A record with IP address or using a DNS provider which permits wildcards in CNAME host entries. Does anyone know any DSN provider which permits wildcards in CNAME host entries?
