Is it even possible to host magento on app engine?

So there is this post https://cloud.google.com/solutions/architecture/magento-deployment

descried that you can deploy magento to app engine, but magento itself has 14000+ files, how would it be possible to deploy with the 10000 files limit on app engine?

Per this doc,

To deploy Magento using App Engine flexible environment, you need to package the core Magento web application into a Docker container. 

If it is in the container it won't count as a file upload.
