Is there a Discussion Forum functionality to plug-in to App Engine Apps?

I am a AppEngine (and Python) newbie.

Is anyone aware of Discussion Forum functionality that can be plugged into a customer App Engine Application (Python27/Datastore)?  I need one where I would be able to get at the data from the application.  I would not like to reinvent the wheel, however, since forum functionality is available in almost every other technology (ASP.Net, various PHP Application Frameworks like Drupal, etc.).

Any suggestions of where I should look for such common functionality components/plug-ins?
