I am having problems deleting one of my applications.  I get errors every time I disable or delete.  It says it's scheduled for deletion but never deletes.  I've tried many times.  If I goto the new google developer dashboard I get "the project you requested is unavailable".  Can someone from Google help delete this app?

Thanks

Hi!

How long was this sent to deletion? Also, what kind of error are you getting? Because if the project is unavailable, normally it gets deleted after a little time spent in "pending deletion".

Cheers!

So I just got a reply from the original poster (JH) as a private message, I will post it here and remove the project name :

I have tried it several times.  Sometimes I have waited weeks.  It's weird like something is up with this particular app.  The date for deletion always comes and            goes.  Now I can't even access this app from within the new developer console.

If you could go to
https://appengine.google.com/disabling?&app_id=[YOUR-APP-ID]

and show us a printscreen of that page, ideally with the "project will be deleted by [DATE]", it would be helpful into checking what is happening here.

In any case, why exactly do you want the project to be deleted?

Cheers

Hi,

So, to keep everything up to date here : I got two screenshots from the original poster (not including them here for privacy reasons) :

One for a deletion supposed to happen tomorrow, one for a deletion supposed to happen yesterday.

In general, deleting is done after 72 hours, but it can sometimes hang a little bit, that's expected and normal (since deletion of applications is not the highest priority of the platform).

Just to make sure everything is okay, I will wait another couple of days and try to see on the 28th if the applications are still here.

I know that you probably went through the process more than once JH, but unfortunately, we need a snapshot of the problem as it happens. By the 28th, we'll have a clearer idea if the app that was supposed to be deleted on the 23rd is just waiting a little bit, or if there is a part of the process that's hanging.

Cheers!

Got a few apps that were supposed to be deleted on the 21st June (so a month ago) and never were deleted.
Do you want the apps ids?

I have an app that was supposed to be deleted in May, but wasn't (from the old dashboard).

In good news, that particular bug seems to be fixed now, because another app I deleted recently was deleted from the new and the old dashboard, albeit a few days late.

Hi all,

Unfortunately, this thread cannot become a place for people to post their appIDs to have the deletion expedited, as this is not a reliable way to handle these issues.

In general though, we don't look that deep into the deletion project, as deletion doesn't really free much in terms of resources, and you can always use the same project ID with different domains, so the ID is really not that critical.

For people who cannot see the issue tracker pdknsk linked, it's basically the same discussion as here, and it ends on an issue being reported up, and it still takes time to get the project deleted (again, we focus on fixing more critical issues first, so such demands have a tendency to be prioritized a little bit less).

I hope this clarifies. We can definitely use the App IDs provided by JH (or get some more from Sergio) and send them up, but it's unlikely that this will fix the issue soon.

Cheers
