Hi,

I have create a project on google cloud and can access by the <project-id.appxyz> url and it's working fine. Now I bought an google domain which I want to use to access the google's given url for my google project.
Please find the attachments to understand my problem statement.

There is few fields which is asking for an IP address and I do not have any idea which IP address I need to put there.
I do not want to create VM Instance as it is costly for me just for an learning project.

A step by step guide will be of great help.

Thanks,
Vikash

Hello Vikash,

It looks like you're trying to add a Custom Domain for your App Engine application. The step-by-step instructions to do so from the developers console is available in this documentation.

After you verify your domain, you'll need to update your domain's DNS records with your domain registrar. If you want to point the naked domain (domain.com) to your application, you'll need to add A and AAAA records. If you're pointing a sub-domain to your application (subdomain.domain.com), you'll need to add a CNAME record. For both cases, the console will display the records / ip addresses that need to be added to your DNS.

The instructions required to add DNS records to you domain depends on your domain registrar. If you're using Google Domains, see instructions here. Remember, once you update the DNS records, it may take up to 24 hours to take effect.

I hope it helps. Cheers!
