Create users + session

Hi,

I am using the app engine django helper and I would like to know how
to use the "Users" package to create new users (that are not gmail
users) and also, how to maintain their logged in sessions. I am a
newbie, so I apologize if this is a repeated question.....if it is,
pls redirect me to the appropriate threads.....

If you use web2py you have Role Based Access Control out of the box.
It includes pages for login, register, logout, change password, edit
profile, reset password, verify email. It has pluggable components so
that you can authenticate users with password, openid, gmail, twitter,
etc.
