Inexplicable Outgoing Bandwidth Increases

In the last few days, my outgoing bandwidth has inexplicably increased, by a factor of 2 to 3, not consistent with visits.  That is, the visits have not increased proportional to the outgoing bandwidth.

Any ideas on how I can understand the outgoing bandwidth which is being reported better?

After a few days of high outgoing bandwidth, the bandwidth has gone back to normal levels.
