Hi,
I'm building a PHP app on App Engine. What are the advantages and disadvantages of setting the "threadsafe" setting in app.yaml and how do I ensure my app is designed to be threadsafe?
Thanks!
Alex

Hey Alex Kerr,
The use of "threadsafe" is a question of whether you are declaring that your app can handle concurrent requests. This is described in the documentation for PHP. If you can ensure that won't cause problematic behaviour (involving sessions, perhaps), you can safely turn on "threadsafe" and see a potential performance increase.
