Hi all,

I am running a Google App Engine App on the domain http://www.usydunit.com.
Until recently, it was working (for several months), but it suddenly
stopped after my last update. However, it is still accessible at
http://1.latest.casebash-temp.appspot.com/. I don't believe I have
touched any settings, although I did go in and confirm that they were
what they should be. Does anyone have any idea of why it might not be
working?

Thanks very much,

Chris

I am also facing the same issue. I have an app running on app engine at rutgersmaps.appspot.com which is added as domain rumaps.rutgers.edu.
Now http://rumaps.rutgers.edu returns a 404 while http:rutgersmaps.appspot.com works.

I did not change any settings and it suddenly stopped working this morning.

Is this an app engine error or do we have to change some of the settings because of some upgrade?
Thanks,

Hi casebash,

Can you please try removing and re-adding the 'App Engine' service for this domain in your Apps control panel, and report back if that fixes the error? Also, make sure you don't have anything else, such as Sites, mapped to the www subdomain.

Removing and re-adding the 'App Engine' service for this
domain in Apps control panel fixed the issue.

Is there a way to avoid this issue? Or was it a one-time issue due to
app engine downtime yesterday?

Thanks,

I can't disable the service :-(. Everytime I try it says it should be
disabled in half an hour, but I come back and it isn't.

I am now having the same problem. What is unusual is that it started
on August the 5th and I haven't been able to resolve it. Have tried
disabling and re-adding but still causes the same issue.

www.sohoappspot.com is the main website this just shows the message
"TEST"

sohosched.appspot.com is the appspot location of the website and this
works fine.

I haven't changed the application for months but all of a sudden this
has happend.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Gene

The same thing that happened to Gene happened to me too. I haven't
updated my app or anything, but suddenly http://beta.multifarce.com/
is down (Google Error - 404 Not Found - The requested URL / was not
found on this server.) while http://multifarce.appspot.com/ works...

Is this a temporary error or do I need to take action to fix this
somehow?

Hi Blixt,

Have you made any changes to your Apps domain recently that may have
interfered with this, such as adding or removing another service from
a subdomain of multifarce.com?

Nick Johnson,

Re my domain above www.sohoappspot.com

Nothing has been changed on the domain. I have tried the following to
rectify:

1. Removing and re-adding the sohosched.appspot.com app engine
application to my Google Apps domain.
2. Deleting and re-adding the CNAME record for www that points to
ghs.google.com

Can't think of what else to do. Any Ideas?

Cheers
Gene

Hi Blixt,

Please try removing and re-adding the mapping in Apps. This ought to
fix the problem.

Nick,

I know this message was directed at me, but thought I would give it
another go.

Deleted and re-added still does the same thing.

Cheers

Same problem here with http://lamp.modula.si
Direct link to http://modulaliving.appspot.com/ works

http://lamp.modula.si gives 404
this stopped working yesterday or today. I'm not 100% sure when.
And I haven't changed anything.

I tried removing this domain and adding it again to gae app and it
didn't help.

An added note. When this stoped working i had several domain prefixes
for this app.
http://colortherapy.modula.si/ <- this one worked
http://lamp.modula.si <- this one started returning 404

after removing and reading neither work.

This is a real PITA since the site is down.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi Pete,

I was able to access http://lamp.modula.si, are you still experiencing this issue?

Thank you,

Jeff
